ELTERLEIN: CORNERSTONE LAYING CEREMONY FOR THE NEW PRODUCTION HALL

Frauenthal Automotive is extending the production area in the German air tank plant in Elterlein. The cornerstone laying ceremony for the establishment of the new production hall took place on 11 August 2014.

An investment volume of EUR 3.7 million will serve to enlarge the production and storage areas while optimising logistics and material flow by 2015. The current production area will be enlarged by about 20% to 8,160 m² and the production layout enhanced according to lean principles. The cornerstone was laid by the two Managing Directors of Frauenthal Automotive Elterlein, Detlef Schubert and Matthias Thalheim, at a special ceremony on 11 August 2014. Apart from several representatives of the Frauenthal Group including Martin Sailer, Executive Board Member of Frauenthal Holding, Josef Unterwieser, COO Frauenthal Automotive, and Jörg Hessler, Managing Director of the sister plant Frauenthal Automotive Hustopeče, the construction companies and architects involved as well as local representatives of the press were also present.

Europe's Number One
With its two air tank production plants in Elterlein, Germany and in Hustopeče, Czech Republic, Frauenthal Automotive is by far the number one in the manufacture of air tanks in Europe. In this area, its customers benefit from in-house research and development.
