Production launch in China:
Major order from Volvo Car

Frauenthal Automotive is moving into the Chinese market with Gnotec, which it acquired in May 2013: Due to a major order from Volvo Car Corporation, production in Frauenthal's own plant in East China is slated to begin in autumn. Frauenthal Automotive will thus have over 14 production plants in ten countries on two continents.

Gnotec AB, the youngest member of Frauenthal Automotive Group, undersigned a contract with Volvo Car Corporation on the delivery of metal press components to the new Volvo Car plant in Chengdu. This major order gives Gnotec reason to operate an own production plant in Kunshan in East China. Preparations are in full swing and production start is planned for autumn 2013. Stefan Ottosson, CEO Gnotec AB, is delighted at the success: "The Volvo Car order is an important step toward further advancing internationalisation in Asia."

Internationalisation to support the customers

Gnotec already entered the Chinese growth markets in spring 2012: In order to support its customers on site, the Swedish company opened a sales and purchasing office  in Shanghai.
